Lo stambecco è il simbolo delle Alpi, è tra i pochi mammiferi che vivono al di sopra dei 3000 metri di quota.
Portato quasi all’estinzione nel 1800, è stato reintrodotto con successo sulle nostre montagne che sono casa sua.
Famoso e riconoscibile per le grandi corna che porta.
Sia maschi che femmine hanno corna in accrescimento continuo. Ogni nodo costituisce un anno di vita, i maschi vivono circa per 16 anni, le femmine 18/20 anni.
Sono visibili durante le stagioni nel borgo di Maslana, loro casa naturale. Si avvicinano alle baite e sono molto tranquilli.
L’estate vivono a quote più elevate, sono famosi anche per camminare in equilibrio sulle grandi mura della Diga del Barbellino per leccare i sali minerali dell’acqua.
Un vero spettacolo.
THE IBEX
The ibex is the symbol of the Alps and is one of the few mammals that live above 3,000 meters.
Almost driven to extinction in the 1800s, it has been successfully reintroduced to our mountains, which are its home.
It is famous and recognizable for its large horns.
Both males and females have horns that grow continuously. Each knot represents one year of life. Males live for about 16 years, females for 18-20 years.
They can be seen during the seasons in the village of Maslana, their natural habitat. They approach the huts and are very calm.
In summer, they live at higher altitudes and are also famous for walking along the large walls of the Barbellino Dam to lick the mineral salts from the water.
A real spectacle.

Il Comune di Valbondione è zona molto ambita per la ricerca dei funghi.
L’ambiente favorisce la crescita di diversi tipi di funghi e le dolci passeggiate rendono la ricerca ancora più bella.
Non è necessario avere un permesso per la raccolta, per sapere in quali aree andare sul sicuro bisogna chiedere ai nostri anziani, ma i maghi difficilmente svelano i propri segreti.

MUSHROOMS
The municipality of Valbondione is a very popular area for mushroom hunting.
The environment favours the growth of various types of mushrooms, and gentle walks make the search even more enjoyable.
No permit is required for picking mushrooms, but to find out which areas are safe, it is best to ask the locals, although they are unlikely to reveal their secrets.
N.B. It is essential to find out which mushrooms are edible and which are poisonous.
